Today’s performance objective: examine an endangeed species and investigate why it has become endangered, how many of the species are still on earth, a conservation plan to help the species survive ..

This Weeks NGSS learning objective : HS LS 4-4 HS.Natural Selection and Evolution
Students who demonstrate understanding can:
Construct an explanation based on evidence for how natural selection leads to adaptation of populations.
1) work on endangered species project
Endangered Species Project – HS LS 2-7
Design, Evaluate, and refine a solution for reducing the impacts of human activities on the environment and biodiversity

Students will create a website about an endangered species (place a few pictures of the species onto your website)
Students will address the following topics:
Why is the species endangered ( predators , prey or environmental conditions)
What are the causes for those changes
What human activities impact this species
3) You are recently elected by the endangered species act of 2015 and are responsible to increase the numbers of this species. What steps will you take to ensure the survival of your species. Write 1-2 page paper that addresses the above questions and place the information onto your website (Due by May 8)
4) Create a PSA (public service announcement) to inspire people to donate money to your endangered species or to bring about public awareness of why your species is endangered or what can be done to save the species (can be a Poster, short movie, or power point presentation placed onto your website (Due by May 20)

Mr borden Ive noticed that the google classroom is very sluggish way for the students to learn Iam saying this because alot of students start to procrastinate not all but some even me XD Iam saying I liked the white board and explaining style better because learning it on your own kinda brings down the energy this is my opinion P.S Show whos in control 😉

    • I appreciate the comment and try to use it as little as possible for that same reason . It is better to upload to that site than others for short term assessments .. I also agree that direct instruction and video clips also ensure student comprehension Ty for your comment
